DQS & MDS Retired: Data Quality Services (DQS) and Master Data Services (MDS) are removed in SQL Server 2025, supported only in SQL Server 2022 and earlier.

Note: You will need to uninstall DQS from SQL Server 2022 before you can upgrade to SQL Server 2025.

To Uninstall DQS from SQL Server 2022, go to Add/Remove Program, click on SQL Server 2022 and uninstall. Uncheck the DQS feature from the list of installed features during uninstall. This will uninstall just the DQS feature while leaving the SQL Server 2022 services on the server.
