The uninstaller for SQL Server is hidden under the control panel’s Add or Remove Programs.

  1. Goto “Add or Remove Programs“.
  2. Select “Microsoft SQL Server 2019” and “Uninstall”.
  3. Select “Remove” from the popup menu.
  4. Select instance to remove.
  5. Select features to remove.
  6. Select “Remove” button.

Note: When uninstalling SQL Server, make sure you also uninstall the OLE and ODBC drivers. Let the new install re-install these components. Else you will get the below error…

Error: An installation package for the product Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL server cannot be found, Try installing again using a valid copy of the installation package ‘msoledbsql.msi’
